Recipes & Updates Straight from Grandma's Kitchen
I was blessed with lots of amazing cooks growing up. Family get-togethers were as much about the food served as the fellowship of family. I know without a doubt, that there wasn't a soul that ever left my Grandma Corbin's table hungry - unless they were just being obstinate. I love to cook. I love to bake. And I love to feed people. So let's dig in!
Great for meal prepping or filling your freezer for busy nights.
Meatballs:
3 lbs. Dutch Creek Cattle Co's Ground Hamburger
1/2 c. Tomato Juice
2c. Oatmeal
2 Eggs
1 med. Onion
1/2 t. Garlic Powder
2 t. Chili Powder
2 t. Salt
Sauce:
2c. Ketchup
1c. Brown Sugar
1/2t. Garlic Powder
1/2 c. Chopped Onions
2 T. Liquid Smoke *
Pre heat oven to 350 degrees.
Mix together all the ingredients for meatballs in a large bowl. Once mixed, form into balls and place on baking pan.
Mix together the sauce ingredients in bowl and pour over formed meat balls.
Bake for 1 hour or until meat is completely cooked. We enjoy serving them with rice or egg noodles.
Tips: If you enjoy extra sauce for your rice, we normally double the sauce recipe.
*The liquid smoke gives it a nice smoky flavor. If you're unable to find it, thy are still delicious without it.
