REGISTERED ANGUS & HEREFORD · DIRECT-TO-FREEZER BEEF · MONTANA
Four Generations on the Same Ground

Cattle raised the way
the land intended.

Dutch Creek Cattle Co. has run registered Angus and Hereford cattle on Montana grass since 1948. No feedlots, no shortcuts — just open range, clean water, and a family that still checks fence lines on horseback.

1948

Founded by Hendrik and Anna DeGroot on 640 acres along the creek that gave the ranch its name, Dutch Creek Cattle Co. is now run by their great-grandchildren. We still calve in the same pastures, still winter our herd on the same hay ground, and still believe that slower, rotational grazing makes better beef and better land.

Our Livestock

Bred for the range, not the show ring

Registered Angus

Foundation Herd

Our core cow herd, selected over decades for calving ease, fertility, and the ability to thrive on grass alone.

Hereford Cross

Range Herd

Hardy, weather-tolerant animals that run our higher pastures through the summer months.

Grass-Finished

Direct Beef Program

Select steers are finished entirely on pasture and sold direct to families by the quarter, half, or whole.

Four generations, one creek.

What started as a homestead claim is now a working ranch spanning 3,400 deeded acres and adjoining grazing leases. We've weathered droughts, blizzards, and cattle markets that tested every generation — and we're still here, still raising cattle the same honest way.
